彼此接纳 [Receive One Another]

Book: Romans (New Testament)
Author: Paul

Romans 15:7 :“Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.”

Today’s Meditation: Receiving one another means we accept one another. We cannot accept one another by our own natures because we all have different opinions. There are great differences of what we like. However, Christ became a model for us in order to not pursue what we like and to receive one another. Receiving one another means the strong receives the weak, and the weak receives the strong. We are not worthy for Jesus to receive us, but Romans 15:3 tells us that He bear the reproaches that are on us. He even died and resurrected for us. He accepted us unconditionally. Therefore, we need to accept one another just like the way Jesus accept us. Romans 14:3 tells us that Christ’s receiving is Father’s receiving. Christ receives what Father receives. Anyone who is born and received by Christ need to receive others, regardless how much differences there are between their faith, opinions and methodologies of spiritual matters. We need to receive one another just like the way Jesus accept us in order to bring glory to God.
