[Please God]

Book: 2 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

2 Corinthians 5:9 :“Therefore, we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.”

Today’s Meditation: We as the Christians have only one aim, which is to please God whether we live or die. Without such aim, we cannot walk on His way for we have lost the correct direction. Although we cannot use our very best efforts to please God, we do have a chance to let Him work on us through such aim. His working in us is the prerequisite condition for our output. Many Christians take advantage of God to please themselves instead of pleasing God. They acknowledge God as their Lord only on their mouth. In fact, they are trying to make the Lord their servant. They want Lord to do things for them. It is necessary for us to love our Lord before we please Him. The power of love helps us to ignore our weaknesses while trying our best to please one who we love. Only the pressure of love can let us forget our current situation as we try to please someone we love. We only can please our Lord when we are still alive. As we please Him, we can be bold when facing Him.
