与上帝相交 [Fellowship with God]

Book: 1 John (New Testament)
Author: Apostle John

1 John 1:3 :“that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”

Today’s Meditation: God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins so that we can have fellowship with Him. We can have eternal life by believing in Jesus Christ. A true disciple is equipped with the ability to have fellowship with God. As we have more fellowship with Him, we will have a greater extent of spiritual vision and hearing. This helps us to know more about God. A disciple who experiences God not only has spiritual enjoyment, but also willing to share such enjoyment to others. The meaning of ‘fellowship’ in Greek is ‘belonging to each other’. The relationship between disciples is just an interdependent relationship. We only can have an actual fellowship when we rely on Christ. The best strategy to defend against heresies is by having proper fellowship with God.
