总以智慧为是 [Justify Wisdom]

Book: Matthew (New Testament)
Author: Matthew

Matthew 11:19 :“The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebiber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”

Today’s Meditation: From the angle of Jews, both ‘neither eating nor drinking’ and ‘eating and drinking’ are wrong. When one has his own perspective of viewing things, the perspective of others always seem to be wrong. Christianity is neither ‘neither eating nor drinking’ nor ‘eating and drinking’. Christianity focuses on the inner side of a man. Romans 14:17 tells us that, the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. The wise one knows how to hold on to Christ. Only those who have spiritual sight and worship God with fear can understand the way of God. We should be questing after Lord only rather than truths, teachings, reasons and experiences. We must thirst for the Lord who blesses, but not the graces of Lord.
