[Matters in the Kingdom of God]

Book: Romans (New Testament)
Author: Paul

Romans 14:17 :“for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Today’s Meditation: We must not criticise others on eating and drinking since the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking. The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Thus, we need to accept one another and communicate among one another to enhance the joy in Holy Spirit. Righteousness is towards ourselves; peace is towards others; joy in the Holy Spirit is towards God. We need to be strict on the issue of being righteous; we need to forgive others to have peace with them; we need to have joy in the Holy Spirit. We will have joy in God when we obey and abide in Holy Spirit. Joy proves that our lifestyles are correct in the eyes of God. We will have peace with God, people and everything, and the joy in Holy Spirit when we care of righteousness. Churches are the image of the kingdom of God. Therefore, we need to live out righteousness, peace and joy in churches so that others can see it too. Christians with different opinions are still connected on the issue of the kingdom of God. We must accept one another to truly live out righteousness, peace and joy. If we fail to accept one another, righteousness, peace and joy will no longer exist. This shows that we are not eligible to serve in the kingdom of God.
