信与恩典 [Faith and Grace]

Book: Romans (New Testament)
Author: Paul

Romans 5:2 :“through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

Today’s Meditation: Both ‘by faith’ and ‘through whom’ show the cooperation between God and human. ‘by faith’ tells the responsibilities of human, while ‘through whom’ tells the job of God. If we do not do our best to rely on God, we cannot expect God to do things. ‘have access’ means an entrance and start while ‘stands’ means a continuation and holding onto the faith. We not only have access by faith into the gate of God’s kingdom, but also continue to stand in the grace and enjoy every bit of it. The death of Christ leads us to the grace of God, and the living of Christ leads us to hold onto the grace of God. Our sinful life makes us live in a helpless situation like a boat on a stormy sea. However in the current days, through Christ we all can approach to the King of the kings and all the grace He provides.
