[Confidence through Faith]

Book: Ephesians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

Ephesians 3:12 :“in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.”

Today’s Meditation: A true rely is only based on one thing, that is through Christ Himself. He is the foundation of our faith and the image that we are believing in. Our access to God is not granted by our actions, but by Jesus who brings us to God. We cannot pray and will not have access to God if it were not Jesus Christ our Saviour. We come to God with one confidence, that is His Son who was crucified on the cross for our sins. His Son received the punishments for us. We cannot come to God boldly with our feeling or emotion for they are not reliable. The only reliable proof that brings us to God is the salvation of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 3:14 mentions that Paul came to God boldly by bowing his knees to Him. This reminds us that being bold is not being shameless and being confident is not being reckless. We cannot approach to God presumptuously and shamelessly. Though we have access to God, it does not mean we can walk upright to Him. We should always be humble when facing Him with a realisation that such approach is the greatest privilege.
