窄门 [Narrow Gate]

Book: Luke (New Testament)
Author: Luke

Luke 13:24 :“Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.”

Today’s Meditation: We first enter a gate before start walking. Entering the gate is just a start, but the walk is permanent. No one can walk a proper way without entering the narrow gate. The wrong gate leads to different way. Thus, we need to be very careful when choosing the gate at the very beginning. The cross is a test for all the people of God. It limits our freedom and restricts our life. We can walk on the everlasting way if we are willing to be constrained by God, accept the deprivation of cross and give up anything that is not heavenly. The narrow gate is the way of cross. We can only find God and subsequently eternity through cross. This is an unchanging truth.
