[Servants and Duty]

Book: Luke (New Testament)
Author: Luke

Luke 17:10 :“So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.”

Today’s Meditation: Even spiritual people might have a spiritual pride. They think that they should be credited for their ministry in God. There is no such credit in Christianity. When one did his very best, he is still an unprofitable servant. Our output is unprofitable compared to the Lord’s sacrifices and His graces. It is true that we are unprofitable servants. We are unable to serve God if it were not the Lord who is supporting us the unprofitable servants. It is a natural course for a servant to serve his master with everything of his. All output that we delivered for the Lord is just our duty.
