身子肢体 [Body and Members]

Book: 1 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

1 Corinthians 12:27 :“Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.”

Today’s Meditation: We are members individually. Members are different than cells. Cells can still survive without the other cells, but members must work together. Many Christians nowadays are like cells in body instead of an actual member. They have no actual contribution and duty to the body of Christ. We are telling the body of Christ to suffer loss if we do not provide to His body. “body of Christ” tells our unity of life and spiritual in Christ while “members individually” tells our different graces and uses in Christ. We must practise the teaching of Ephesians 4:3 in church that we need to endeavour to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace while delivering our own individual use by what every joint supplies.
