合一在基督的名里 [Unite in the Name of Christ]

Book: 1 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

1 Corinthians 1:10 :“Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement.”

Today’s Meditation: Ephesians 1:23 teaches us that church is Christ’s body, so it must be united. Christ is the Head of the church. Acknowledging the authority of Christ in church eliminates disputes. It is the opportunity for us to accept one another on different opinions. Since ancient times, Satan has been in between God and people to spread disputes. The way Satan treats today’s churches is like how he treated the Corinthians. He uses people’s weaknesses; causes disputes; destroys the witnesses of gospel; and humiliates the name of God. Exalting people’s name can cause disputes. Unity can only come to those who belong to God when we exalt the name of the Lord. We need to forsake every name other than Christ in order to maintain the unity in Christ. Being persistent on different opinions is the main cause of splitting up. Unity will come naturally when we have the mind of Christ.
