不求 [Did Not Ask]

Book: James (New Testament)
Author: James

James 4:2 :“You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war, yet you do not have because you do not ask.”

Today’s Meditation: As we lust for more, there will be more fight and we end up with nothing. It is a rude habit of human of being greedy. We often do whatever we need to achieve our desire even though it has to involve covet, murder, fight and war. We often end up with nothing we want. One whose heart is filled with desire often ignore praying. James 1:5 reminds us that God gives to all liberally and without reproach. He is willing to give but we did not pray. The abundance in God is thus being restricted because we do not pray. Many of us though pray but prayed aimlessly. God does not listen to general prayers. He seeks for concentrated and clear prayers. Only such prayers are accepted by Him and thus our problems can be solved.
