眼中的刺 [Speck in the Eye]

Book: Matthew (New Testament)
Author: Matthew

Matthew 7:5 :“Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

Today’s Meditation: We first need to remove the desire to criticise and abandon the habit of hypocrite in order to see the truth clearly. Others will treat us with the exact same standard we used to treat them. We should be learning “how” to remove the speck instead of noticing the “speck” in others’ eye. We need to be loveable in others’ eye before we remove the speck from their eye by nature. It is unnecessary to take the speck too seriously. We first need to confront with the Lord before confronting with others. The truest help of ours to others is from our own experiences. The lesson of the cross always start from us.
