传舌 [Talebearer]

Book: Proverbs (Old Testament)
Author: Solomon

Proverbs 26:20 :“Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; and where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.”

Today’s Meditation: When the fire reaches the end, it cannot continue its flame. Gossips work the same as it will continue to spread with both ears and tongue. However, if the last listener decided not to spread, everything will be ceased. As we listen, we can choose to stop spreading and keep the things in our mind. Others might not approve your act but at least you can save many people from malice and hypocrisy.
