Ministers of God (5)]

Book: 2 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

2 Corinthians 6:8 :“by honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true”

Today’s Meditation: The way the world evaluates Christian is always opposite of how the Lord evaluates us. We precious the evaluation of the Lord but not the worldly people. Human’s opinions and judgements can be true or wrong. Therefore, we should not care of how people judge us, but to care ‘who we truly are’. Deacons of New Testament relied on the glories and insults from people all around to reveal the characteristics of deacons. We as the servants of the Lord should not care about slanders from enemies, but to be careful of their praises. Worldly people usually cannot understand the works done by the ministers of God. However, what we do as ministers of God is to obey the will of the Lord but not to do anything shameful that can raise suspicions. We spread gospel using different methods when dealing with different people. We may look like deceiving them, but we are actually carrying honest motives to share the benefits of gospel. The ministers of God may look as smart as snake, but we carry the docile heart like doves with unfeigned honesty. We will continue ‘Ministers of God (6)’ tomorrow.
