从里面做 [Done Inward]

Book: Romans (New Testament)
Author: Paul

Romans 2:28 :“For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh;”
Romans 2:29 :“but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.”

Today’s Meditation: Many Christian today focus on names and practices instead of the actual inside, just as described in 2 Timothy 3:5 where they have the form of godliness but denying its power. The fake prayer, giving, abstinence that are done to let people see are meaningless. Only those that are done inwardly are true. Imitating need neither responsibility nor feeling. It can be done without prayer and communication with God because it is done at the outside. Only those that are done inwardly can be known as the serving in new testament. We cannot get praise from both God and people at the same time. God wants us to worship Him in spirit and truth, but we tend to focus on surface and neglected the spiritual side.
