[Children of God]

Book: 2 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

2 Corinthians 6:18 :“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Today’s Meditation: Being the people of God relates to serving, while being the children of God relates to life and authority. Christians are not just the people of God but also His children. Sons emphasise the strong side while daughters emphasise the intimate side. We need to be the sons of God to fight for His kingdom. We need to be His daughters as well to get closer with Him and please Him. When we are separated from the world and cut relationship with them, the Lord took us in to enjoy all His abundance. Those who feel accepted by the Lord are those who are separated from the world. Many among us do not see the Lord as a treasure because we have yet to treat all things as rubbish. We need to forsake things on the world to have gains in the Lord. We will taste the goodness of the Lord by separating ourselves from the world. We do not need to fear of losing anything when separating ourselves from the world. Our God is an omnipotent God with abundance. He is our property and blessing.
