[Reward in Heaven]

Book: Luke (New Testament)
Author: Luke

Luke 6:23 :“Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, for in like manner their fathers did to the prophets.”

Today’s Meditation: We do not have to wait until future to leap for joy. We can leap for joy as we are insulted and defamed for the Lord right now. The Lord wants us to focus on the heaven instead of earth; rewards instead of tribulations; and gains instead of losses when we are hated by people. The way of a Christian is blessed with persecutions for he will receive rewards in heaven. It is a problem if we have a smooth-going life. We should leap for joy when we are persecuted and defamed. The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. We need to experience the price paid by the prophets and the suffers they experienced in order to receive the rewards they have. Little reward comes with little persecution and large reward comes with large persecution. Such joy cannot be understood by those who do not experience before. One who is willing to pay effort for truth will receive the reward in heaven.
