[Evil Heart of Unbelief]

Hebrews 3:12 :“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;”

Today’s Meditation: Our heart is the mechanism to accept or reject God and to be intimate or depart from God. Our heart can either believe or not believe, because it cannot be neutral. Our heart can either filled with God or the world. Our faith and life depends on how our heart is because everything we experience in Christ affects the prospects of our heart. If we do not have God in our heart, the slot will be replaced with erroneous and evil thoughts. Unbelief is not only a mistake but also harm our life. Unbelief is evil and a sin as it can make us depart from the living God. The responsibility carried by a Christian who depart from God is greater than those Israelites who disobeyed Moses because Christ is greater than Moses. Many Christians look like they do not depart from God, but this living and true God does not exist to them. They place him far outside their thinking range even though acknowledging His existence on rationale. In the end, they live like there is no God.
