求告主名 [Calls Upon the Name of the Lord]

Book: 1 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

1 Corinthians 1:2 :“To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:”

Today’s Meditation: There is no such place on earth that is too corrupted to have a church of God built up. We cannot live a holy and victorious life unless we realise that we are saints in Christ. The key to live a victorious life on earth is to abide in Christ. ‘Call upon the name of the Lord’ is the characteristic and symbol of each of us. The world depends on their knowledge and skills, while we depends on the grace and blessing of God. Paul wrote this letter not only to speak with the church of God at Corinth, but also to speak with everyone who calls upon the name of Lord. This tells that his communication is not limited by places. We is willing as long as it is under the name of the Lord. We all share Christ and thus unnecessary for us to separate from one another. Christ not only is our Lord but also the Lord of whoever that calls upon Him. We should love one another since we belong to Lord.
