福音的功效 [Effects of Gospel]

Book: Colossians (New Testamane)
Author: Paul

Colossians 1:6 :“which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;”

Today’s Meditation: Gospel does not belong to some wise people, but is shared by all the world. This tells the gospel’s universality and reliability. There is life in gospel, so it can bring fruit and grow. Only when we spread gospel using the witnesses of our life, the effect of growing can be exerted. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Gospel has two characteristics: universality and personal. Two of these must be kept in balance. If we emphasise more on universality, we might end up compromising and not being serious on the pursue of our personal life. In the same way, if we emphasise more on personal, we might end up being alone and negative on our work and life.
