逼迫 [Persecution]

Book: Matthew (New Testament)
Author: Matthew

Matthew 5:11 :“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.”

Today’s Meditation: The world hated the Lord before hating us. As we persecute the Lord, they will persecute us as well. If we truly believe in the Lord, we will be persecuted. It is a compulsory experience for us to be persecuted as the people of God. If we have yet being persecuted, it means that we are not serious enough in our faith yet. Lies and slanders are common ways to persecute us. The world cannot get a hold onto us, so they ended up saying false things. If we do not speak truth, we are saying false things. It is still acceptable if we are reviled and persecuted. False sayings are more unacceptable. We need to surpass all these regardless we are feeling acceptable or not. Many are weak before meeting persecution. They can be stronger when they are persecuted. This is due to the life of Lord in them.
