上帝的工 [The Works of God]

Book: Acts (New Testament)
Author: Luke

Acts 13:36 :“For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption;”

Today’s Meditation: Whoever that follows the will of God will leave the world once he has served his generation. He cannot serve two generations at once. Any servant of God should not think of establishing a heritable great undertaking. Today, many servants of God want to build their own organisation, system, institution, or agency to let their works immortal. This is going against the will of God. A wheat is planted, germinated, headed, and harvested. After that, the whole wheat is to be removed. This is a principle of spiritual works where our works will be mortal. God has His own will of generation for each one of us. We should not greed after elder generations’ properties, and to wait for younger generations’ striving. We should live for God at this generation. Only those who fulfil their mission given by God at their generation during their life can sleep in the Lord peacefully.
