[Examine and Test Ourselves]

Book: 2 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

2 Corinthians 13:5 :“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? ——unless indeed you are disqualified.”

Today’s Meditation: The Corinthians believed the calumny from the false apostles and suspected the identity of Paul. They even asked for the proof of Christ in Paul. Paul wanted them to examine and test themselves because only true apostles can identify true apostles. False apostles do not have the ability to do so. Take note that Paul wanted us to examine and test on our own. This shows that faith is hard to tell because we are not God who can see through our minds. As we believed in the Lord, we are accepted by God through the blood of the Lord. The Lord then lives in us forever without leaving us. This is the main point of our grace and we should believe in it. The Lord says the one who comes to the Him will not be cast out. As we approached the Lord, we are accepted and will be in Him forever. We are accepted not because of our talents, but the Lord who lives in us. As the Lord lives in us, we will never be forsaken. Do not believe in the lies of Satan, but believe in God’s words.
