基督所受的凌辱 [Reproach Bore by Jesus]

Book: Hebrews (New Testament)
Author: Anonymous

Hebrews 13:12 :“Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.”
Hebrews 13:13 :“Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.”

Today’s Meditation: Jesus Christ was forsaken by the priests and elders from Jerusalem who hung Him on the cross outside the gate. Today, those who are loyal to follow the Lord should be not fear of the authorities and superstition of religions. We should leave abnormal churches even though we have to bear mocking, contempts, slanders, and reproaches. The Israelites offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings and they sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play, while Moses pitched his tent outside the camp. Many who are in churches today worship idols, exalt spiritual people, and participate in all sorts of carnal and soulical activities. We should also stay outside such camp and pray to the Lord to pursue after righteousness, faith, love and peace. Those who truly understand God will not be obsessed with things that are religious on the surface for they are an empty city or camp. Our Lord is not inside there, and He called us to escape such Jerusalem. So, let us exit such camp. The Lord is where we should head to. The way to the Lord needs us to bear reproaches, and is a narrow gate and difficult way. We should not follow after majorities, for the spiritual principles set by the Lord are only followed by minorities.
