地位 [Position]

Book: 2 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

2 Corinthians 12:6 :“For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me.”

Today’s Meditation: Human likes to boast, but one who knows the Lord is not like that. As we know more of the Lord, we will want to hide ourselves more. As we go deeper with the Lord, we will know how little we are that we are afraid that someone would replace the Lord’s place in our heart. Paul refused to share his experience to avoid someone treated him above what he saw Paul to be or heard from Paul. We need to respect the servants of God, but we do not need to emphasise him too much, even more than the Lord. This is to avoid someone replacing the Lord’s position. Throughout the time, churches often ignore or exalt God’s servant. We need to be alert on this to avoid ignoring God’s servant or following unnecessary trend.
