行事为人 [Manners]

Book: Romans (New Testament)
Author: Paul

Romans 13:13 :“Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.”

Today’s Meditation: Walk properly means to be lawful and respectable. We need to walk in the light without hiding. Revelry means to eat and drink like carnival, while drunkenness means to be controlled by alcohol. In another word, revelry and drunkenness mean to indulge ourselves. Lewdness and lust mean filthy habit which pursues after unusual sexual relationship and shameless behaviour. Strife and envy means to argue with people and resent in others’ excellence and rewards.
