存心 [Intention]

Book: Romans (New Testament)
Author: Paul

Romans 14:14 :“I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.”

Today’s Meditation: Paul believed that everything can be eaten, but he did not maintain such truth for the sake of brethren. It is important to follow the truth, but it is more important to benefit one another. Same food can yield different effects depending on different people. It is clear that the problem is not at the quality of the food, but the inner mind. We need to take note as New Testament Christian that we should emphasise inside more than outside.
