[Pray for Governments]

Book: 1 Timothy (New Testament)
Author: Paul

1 Timothy 2:2 :“for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

Today’s Meditation: We need to pray for those that are ruling and governing the countries. We need to pray that God gives them wisdom and power to govern the countries and treat the people well based on God’s will and His grace so that the whole nation can please God and be blessed by Him. As we pray for those in power, we admit that the one truly controlling our countries is God instead of the government. The world use votes to establish and promote regime. We as Christians use prayer to affect regime. We need to have a godly life aside from our faith instead to please God. Our godly life is based on the practice of prayer. Our spiritual life does not betray against the thinking of the nation as we pray for the benefits of the nation. As we pray for their peace, we can live godly and lead quiet and peaceable life. We should live selfless by sharing with all. As God gives us the authority to pray, we also gain the rights brought by our prayer, that is to enter an uninterrupted life circumstances to work for gospel.
