拜偶像 [Idolatry]

Book: 1 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

1 Corinthians 10:14 :“Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.”

Today’s Meditation: ‘flee from’ in the original Scripture was defined in present tense, which is an ongoing act. This verse hints that the acts before this verse such as lust after evil things, eat and drink abnormally, commit sexual immorality, tempt Christ, complain, and other sins are related to and originated from idolatry. Thus, we need to be alert in our life to know whether our sins originate from idolatry and we need to repent.
