永远的钱财 [Everlasting Wealth]

Book: 2 Corinthians (New Testament)
Author: Paul

2 Corinthians 9:9 :“As it is written: he has dispersed abroad, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.”

Today’s Meditation: This verse originates from Psalm 112:9. The verse talks about the wealth we disperse is but a temporary corruptible material. However, righteousness is the fruit we get that is to be endured forever. Is this not a worthy trade? Generous relief is seen as a righteous act in the eyes of God. Revelation 14:13 says blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on that their works (including wealth dedication) follow them. Every cent we spent for God willingly has the value of eternity. If we are willing to give for the Lord, our wealth actually did not decrease. Our wealth is in fact saved to another account in the Heaven. It also transforms from a corruptible to everlasting material. Wealth is only meant to be useful in our earthly life. We neither bring any when we are born, nor take any when we are dead. We as Christians can be the trustees of God to make use of the wealth and keep them to eternity.
